The 19-year-old star took to Instagram yesterday sharing her time on what looks like a spiritual retreat, with not much on her mind.
“Bark to skin,” Jackson wrote while sitting topless in a tree and another showed her kneeling in front of a Buddha statue also sans shirt — no caption necessary.

パリス・ジャクソンが投稿した写真に添えた一言、 “bark to skin”のbarkに注目します。吠えるなどの意味が思い浮かびましたが、写真と全く関連性がないので他の意味を調べてみました。
『ジーニアス英和辞典』（第五版，大修館）で調べたところ、「樹皮；キナ皮；タン皮」、「ナッツ入りチョコレート片」などと載っておりました。Oxford Dictionary of English(Second Edition Reserved, Oxford University Press)には、 “the tough protective outer sheath of the trunk, branches, and twigs of a tree or woody shrub”と定義されておりました。
以前ユーチューブか何かで、生まれたての赤ちゃんをお父さんやお母さんの胸元に直接のっけるスキンシップのことを、 “skin to skin”と言っていたことを思い出しました。この “bark to skin”も同じようなことを表しているのではないでしょうか。（Gomez）
