4 Japanese held in China as spies are released and return home
Four Japanese nationals detained by China for alleged acts of espionage in late March are now back in Japan after almost four months.
Two others are apparently still detained in China.
The six men, ranging in age from their 20s to 70s, went to China to explore business opportunities to do with hot springs.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga announced the release and return of the four Japanese nationals at a news conference held early July 27.
