さらに，Cambridge Dictionaryを確認すると，“a fall in which a person lands on their bottom, especially for a humorous effect in a play, film, etc.”と“an embarrassing defeat or failure”とありました。「しくじり」や「失態」には，“embaraccing”という意味合いが含まれているようです。(Nao)
