44 more employees of delivery firm referred to prosecutors for avoiding tickets
Forty-four more people connected to major delivery company Sagawa Express Co. have been referred to prosecutors over cases in which people illicitly took the rap for employees' traffic offenses, police said on March 3.
Of the 44 people, 24 are regular employees of the company. Others include employees' family members. They were cited in 21 instances across eight operating centers. The total number of parking violation cover-up cases involving Sagawa Express now stands at 54, while a total of 106 people have been referred to public prosecutors.
