influence-peddling 復習
韓国の朴槿恵大統領のスキャンダル問題について取り上げたいと思います。

今回取り上げる表現は"influence-peddling"というフレーズです。
『ジーニアス英和辞典』(第５版）を参照してみると「斡旋収賄、地位の悪用」と記されており、Dictionary comには"a person who arranges to obtain favors, asgovernment contracts, from high officials on behalf ofothers for a fee"と定義されておりました。
朴槿恵（パク・クネ）大統領の友人 崔順実（チェ・スンシル）氏には大統領記録物管理法に抵触する疑いや崔氏の財団の活動資金を不正流用した横領などの嫌疑がかけられているので「地位を利用した）」という意味のinfluence-peddlingだということがわかります。
