New Narita Airport runway plan adopted

A public-private council on Tuesday presented plans to strengthen the functions of Narita Airport in Chiba Prefecture, including by setting up a new 3,500-meter-long runway.

The plans were adopted at a council meeting in the city of Chiba that brought together officials from the central government, Narita International Airport Corp., the Chiba prefectural government and local municipalities.
