EUの世論調査によると、危険ドラッグを服用したことのある若者が以前に比べ増加していることが判明しました。EU28カ国のうち危険ドラッグを使ったことがあると答えた青少年の割合は全体の5%で2011年に行われた調査の時よりもやや増えたとのことです。

Cigarette and alcohol use among 15- and 16-year-olds is declining across Europe but the numbers using cannabis are growing, an EU survey shows.
The Espad report for 2015 includes most EU countries, but not Germany or the UK, and data for Spain is incomplete.
In 2015 "current smokers" accounted for 21% of those surveyed, and the highest total was in Italy (37%).
In 1995-2015 those using alcohol in the past 30 days fell from 56% to 47%. Top incannabis use were the Czechs (37%).
That figure for Czech teenagers reporting a lifetime experience of cannabis was higher than the level in the US - 31% in comparable surveys.
The average for cannabis use in the European countries surveyed was 16%. Thatwas lower than the comparable figure for Spain - 27%.

今回取り上げる表現は"cannabis"という単語です。この記事の中で何回か出てきて気になったので調べてみることにしました。
『ジーニアス英和辞典』（第５版）には、「カナビス（麻薬）の一種」と書かれており、Word reference com には”any of the various parts of the plant from which hashish, marijuana, bhang, and similar drugs are prepared”と定義されていました。なお、cannabisはアメリカ英語で、イギリス英語では”marijuana”と表記されることもわかりました。
この大麻の入手経路で最も多いのは親しい人から貰うことだそうです。EUは今危険ドラッグどのように管理していくのか若い人たちに聞いているようです。(Mt.Fuji)
