TOKYO — The National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan is warning parents about the danger of bicycle spoke injuries to children.
In a report released this week, the center said that in the past five years, there have been a total of 172 bicycle spoke injury incidents involving children. The injuries are caused when children’s feet get caught in the rear wheel of the bicycle while riding along with their parents.
