　EU離脱論が浮上しているイギリスですが，離脱した場合の経済効果が，政府の経済学者から提出されました。分析結果によると，1家計あたりで，年間€4,300の損失になるとのことです。これはイギリス経済が6%も縮小することを意味しております。離脱派からは馬鹿げた見積もりであると反論しております。
　記事の中で気になった表現は"knife edge"です。『Wisdom英和辞典第三版』（三省堂）によると「ナイフの刃(先); ナイフに似た形のもの，（結果が）まったく予測[見当]のつかない, 予断を許さない」などという意味がありました。Oxford Dictionaries.comには" A very tense or dangerous situation"と定義されております。"knife edge"というタイトルの映画もあるようです（Knife Edge (2009) - IMDb）。(Ume)

But Mr Osborne said it was "economically illiterate" to say the UK could retain "all the benefits" of EU membership and "none of the obligations or costs".
Any trade arrangement would lead to less access to the EU single market unless Britain was prepared to pay into the EU budget and accept the free movement of people, he said.
