Phased support vitally needed for people with early-onset dementia
It is vital to provide support in stages for people with early-onset dementia, which develops before the age of 65, such as helping them continue to work and find a place in society.
Compared with elderly dementia patients, younger patients are still physically fit and able to work, and often in the prime of their lives.
Measures to support such people are said to be insufficient across the nation. The following examines some cases in which support measures are already in place.

”onset”は“the ~ of something:the beginning of something, especially something bad”と定義されており、手元の辞書で索引すると「1.(通例よくない事の)開始、始まり、着手 2.
続いて”dementia”は、de-(reverse, from),men(think, memory) –ia(medical condition)という形態素から成り、英語では“an illness that affects the brain and memory, and makes you gradually lose the ability to think and behave normally”、日本語では「(脳病・脳損傷による)痴呆」とそれぞれ定義されています。
