‘Attack on Titan’ colossus invades Sapporo Snow Festival
SAPPORO--A gigantic snow sculpture of a man-eating humanoid from “Attack on Titan” is one of the many attractions at the popular 67th Sapporo Snow Festival, which kicked off on Feb. 5.
The annual event features 208 snow sculptures, including a life-size bullet train, as well as the giant character from the popular manga series.
The main venue for the snow festival is Odori Park, which stretches about 1.5 kilometers east to west. Snow delivered in 6,500 5-ton trucks was used for the creation of the snow sculptures.
Among the creations at Odori Park are the colossal “Attack on Titan” character, as well as snow sculptures of the red-brick Hokkaido government building and clock tower, both tourist attractions in Sapporo.

この単語をLDOCEで調べてみると、“someone or something that is extremely big or extremely important”と定義されていました。 (ninetails)
