2020年に開催される東京五輪までに、都営地下鉄車内で無料Wi-Fiサービスが導入される計画が明らかになりました。まずは、2月5日から都営浅草線でこのサービスが開始されるようです。

TOKYO -- Japan's soaring visitor tally is spurring efforts to deal with travelers' top complaint: the lack of free wireless Internet access. Starting on Feb. 5, Tokyo will provide complimentary Wi-Fi in trains on its Asakusa subway line.
The plan is to offer the service on all Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation, or Toei, subway lines by March 2020 -- the year the city will host the Summer Olympics.
Tourists will take whatever Wi-Fi they can get. "I'm happy that there will be more free Wi-Fi spots in Tokyo," said Alex Wang, 28, who was visiting from the U.S. "I was surprised to find that there is not much free Wi-Fi access available across Japan." He added that he bought a SIM card to cope.
