福岡市中央区春吉２の指定暴力団・山口組系「一道会」本部事務所に火炎瓶数本が投げ込まれた事件で、福岡県警は分裂を巡るトラブルとみて捜査しているようです。

Fukuoka cops: Molatav cocktails tossed into Yamaguchi-gumi office

Fukuoka Prefectural Police are investigating an attempted arson attack that targeted an office of a second-tier gang of the recently troubled Yamaguchi-gumi in Fukuoka, reports TBS News. end .detailed_para_1
At approximately 6:00 a.m. on Friday, several Molatav cocktails were thrown into the office of the Ichido-kai, which is located in the Haruyoshi area of Chuo Ward.

One part of a wall was damaged in the attack. There were no injuries.

Police suspect that the incident is connected to the split of the Yamaguchi-gumi last year. In September, 13 affiliate gangs bolted to form a rival, the Kobe Yamaguchi-gumi.

About four hours before attack in Fukuoka, several men beat a former member of the Ichido-kai over the head with bottles on a street in Asakura City. The victim, aged in his 20s, left the gang to join the Kobe Yamaguchi-gumi after the split.

"bolt"を取り上げます。『ジーニアス英和辞典』によると「(党などを)離脱する」という意味がありました。主に米国で使われる言葉だそうです。これまでしっかりと何かをとめていたボルトが何かの理由で緩み，そしてはずれるということで，今回の山口組の分裂劇にはもってこいの動詞だと思いました。

boltはもともと「太矢」が原義となっており、"draw a bolt"で「かんぬきをかける」という意味もあります。その他にも多義語で「急に駆け出すこと」という意味もあり、そこから"a bolt from the blue"で「青天の霹靂」という表現もあることがわかりました。

今回の事件に発展した可能性として、記事によると9月に13組長が離脱していたということがわかります。その後も一道会を巡り、昨年１０月末に福岡県朝倉市のファミリーレストランで山口組に残る側と離脱側で乱闘騒ぎがあったようです。(lua)
