ジャマイカで”cloud iridescence”と呼ばれる、雲が七色に輝く現象が起き、居合わせた人々を魅了しました。日本語では「彩雲」と呼ばれます。
The phenomenon is known as cloud iridescence, according to weather.com senior meteorologist Nick Wiltgen.
"In clouds, iridescence is a by-product of sunlight being diffracted by water droplets or ice crystals, causing the various wavelengths of light, which we see as colours, to emerge at different angles," he said.
"As they reach the observer's eye, the observer perceives a pattern of various colours as those different wavelengths reach his or her eye from distinct directions, rather than being jumbled together and appearing whitish."

取り上げる表現は”jumble”です。
LDOCEには”to mix things together in an untidy way, without any order”と定義されています。日本語では「ごちゃ混ぜ」「<書類・衣服など>をごた混ぜにする、乱雑にする」（『ジーニアス英和辞典第４版（大修館書店）』）と書かれていました。語源ですが『Online Etymology Dictionary』には” 1520s, originally "to move confusedly," perhaps coined on model of stumble, tumble, etc.”とありました。
記事の文によると、雲がカラフルに見えるのは色が入り乱れてごちゃ混ぜになっているというよりも、別々の方向から異なる波長で光が目に届いているからだそうです。
