luaさんのfollow-upです。1945年に国連が創設されてから70年を迎えるのを記念して、24日から25日にかけて日本の東京スカイツリーなど世界各国の200以上のランドマークが国連のシンボルカラーでもある青色にライトアップされています。

More than 200 landmarks in 60 countries from the Pyramids in Egypt to the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Empire State Building in New York will be lit up in blue - the official color of the United Nations- on Saturday to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the world body.
The global celebration will kick off in New Zealand and then at the Sydney Opera House in Australia. It will move across countries and continents to the Great Wall of China, the ancient city of Petra in Jordan, Russia's Hermitage Museum, the Alhambra in Spain, the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro and many other sites.
New Yorkers actually got a sneak preview of the celebration because U.N. headquarters was lit up in blue Friday night as well.

今回取り上げるのは、“sneak preview”という表現です。LDOCEで調べてみると、“an occasion when you can see a film, play, product etc before it is shown to people in general”という定義が見つかりました。さらに『ジーニアス英和辞典G4 大修館書店』で確認してみると、「覆面試写会《客の反応を見るために内容の予告なしで行なわれる特別試写》」という意味が載っていました。
今回ライトアップされた国連のシンボルカラーの青色には、「癒し」や「希望」という意味を表しています。(ninetails)
