　結婚式を中止にした新郎新婦が以外な決定をしました。結婚式自体をキャンセルせず，ホームレスを招いてレセプションパーティーで出される食事を提供したことが紹介されております。太っ腹だと思いました。
　記事の中で気になった表現は"go ahead with"です。『Wisdom英和辞典第三版』（三省堂）によると「（特に熟慮の末, 予定通り） （(…する)事を）進める, 始める, 続ける」などという意味がありました。ODには"Proceed or be carried out"と定義されております。結婚式を延期とするには，決心が必要だと思いますので，この文脈ではSPACEALCで紹介されている「思い切って〜する」という意味が適切だと思います。（Ume）

Cancelled California wedding becomes meal for homeless

After a wedding in California was called off, the bride's family decided to invite homeless people to the reception meal instead.
The bride's mother, Kari Duane, said her daughter told her on Monday she and her fiance had decided not to go ahead with the event.
Rather than cancel, Ms Duane invited homeless people to the feast at Sacramento's Citizen Hotel.
About 90 turned up to enjoy steak, salad, salmon and other delicacies.
One of those who took up the invitation, Rashad Abdullah, arrived with his wife and five children.
