Murdered girl in Osaka matches missing 13-yr-old, boy also missing
The body of a girl found murdered in a parking lot in Osaka Prefecture last Thursday was confirmed Tuesday to be that of a 13-year-old who went missing with a boy from the same school a day earlier, police said.

Natsumi Hirata, a first-year junior high school student from Neyagawa, was found dead in the parking lot of a distribution company in Takatsuki, both in Osaka, her face wrapped in adhesive tape. The body was confirmed to be hers based on fingerprints and other shared features.
Police are investigating where she and Ryoto Hoshino, a 12-year-old first-year student of the same school, went after he left his house in the same city on Wednesday night saying he was going out with her.
