今回取り上げるのは、”to one's liking“という表現です。『ジーニアス英和辞典G4 大修館書店』で調べてみると、「[時におおげさに]〈人〉の好みに合った[合わせて]」と載っていました。”liking“は「好み、趣味」といった意味ですが、”to“が付くことで「〈人〉の趣味に沿った、気に入った」となります。そのため本文では、「四角形のスイカがお気に召しませんか[趣味に合いませんか]？」となります。(ninetails)
