“he said she said” は「水掛け論」という日本語に近い英語表現です。手持ちの辞書には載っていませんでしたが、英語版Weblioに“Conflicting reports from two or more parties on an issue, usually involving a situation between a man and a woman with no other witnesses.”とありました。
