岐阜、長野県境にある御嶽山が午前１１時５３分頃に噴火しました。NHKのニュース映像やYouTubeで見る限りはかなり大きな噴火であることが推測されます。

同山は上述のように岐阜、長野両県にまたがりますので、あの単語が使われるかなと思っていましたら、Kyodoの速報で用いられていました。（Ume）

Central Japan volcano Mt. Ontake erupts, 8 hikers injured

Mt. Ontake, a volcano straddling Nagano and Gifu prefectures in central Japan, erupted shortly before noon Saturday, with about 10 hikers injured.

The Nagano fire department has received several emergency calls about injured hikers. At least eight people were injured, a local fire department official said.

No injuries were reported on the Gifu side by the early afternoon.
