タイトル：The past, present and future of English corpus linguistics: a personal perspective

要旨：
Corpus linguistics is credited with a revolution in the direction of linguistic research since its beginnings in the 1960s. This lecture retraces the development of English corpus linguistics over fifty years since the completion of the first electronic corpus, the Brown Corpus, in 1964. The lecture ends with an assessment of where English corpus linguistics is today, and a tentative prediction of where it will go in the future.
