あの大ヒットとなったドラマがNHKでいよいよ放映されます。階級社会の英国を舞台に貴族（U）とそれ以外の人々（Non-U）との関係を真正面からとらえたこのドラマ、さてどのような反響を呼ぶのでしょうか。
NHK to start airing 'Downton Abbey' from May 11
NHK will start airing the hugely popular popular British drama “Downton Abbey” on Sunday nights beginning May 11. The drama will be aired on Channel 1 from 11 p.m.
Since the series began in 2010, it has been a huge hit all over the world. Set in the 1910s and 1920s, Downton Abbey depicts the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants in the post-Edwardian era—and how great events in history affect their lives and the British social hierarchy.
While the series has already been shown in Japan on Star Channel, this will be the first time it has been broadcast on free-to-air TV.
The show is into its fourth season overseas.
