これは言うまでもなく、Birds of a feather flock together.（類は友を呼ぶ）ということわざのもじり。"Similar people tend to associate with each other."（McGraw-Hill Dictionary of American Idioms and Phrasal Verbs）とパラフレーズできます。
ともあれおじさんのダジャレレベルですね（わたしは共感しますが）。そういえば、昔の授業では、a featherの「同じ、同一種の」を表すaの用法を先生が熱弁をふるって解説されていましたが、今はどう教えられているのでしょうかね。（UG）
