文献から“thread”という表現が分からなかったため調べました。”thread”は「糸」という意味でおなじみだと思いますが，『Wisdom英和辞典（第三版）』（三省堂）によると，動詞で「話に筋を付ける」という意味がありました。3つの課題を解決するために構成される論文集を体系化しているというニュアンスが伝わります。（Ume）
