先程と同じ記事より表現を拾います。
hiccupは以前ブログでも取り上げられておりますので復習となります。（cf. hiccup♯２ - 田邉祐司ゼミ 常時英心：言葉の森から）「しゃっくり」でお馴染みですが赤字の箇所は第三語義の「(一時的な)小さな支障[in]」（『ジーニアス英和辞典 第3版』大修館）という定義になります。確認のためOxford Dictionaries Onlineも参照してみますと’ a temporary or minor problem or setback’と掲載されていました。（Shou-VR*）
