catch-twenty-two #2

catch-twenty-twoに着目しました。この表現は以前ブログにも登場しており(cf.catch-22 - 田邉祐司ゼミ 常時英心：言葉の森から)、尚且つUG先生がお勧めして下さいました単語帳にも掲載されておりましたので、確認程度ではございますが、「板ばさみ, ジレンマ; 問題解決の障害となる状況や規則,」（『Wisdom英和辞典(第3版)』三省堂)という定義になります。補足ですが、Oxford Dictionaries Onlineで語源を調べてみると、'title of a novel by Joseph Heller (1961), in which the main character feigns madness in order to avoid dangerous combat missions, but his desire to avoid them is taken to prove his sanity'と載っていましたので、併せて覚えておこうと思います。(Shou-VR*)
