eager beaver

eager beaverを調べると、“someone who is too keen and works harder than they should” (LDOCE)と定義されていました。

Apple opens Tokyo store early for lined-up iPhone customers stuck in typhoon

Ever since the official announcement of the new iPhones last week, some customers have already lined up in front of the Apple store in Tokyo’s Ginza district, wanting to be one of the first few to own the new models. But today’s sudden typhoon brought hard rain and strong winds and so you would think they would leave their post to keep dry and stay safe right?

Well, then you don’t know die-hard fanboys that well if you said yes. The few people lined up outside were being pelted with the rain and the wind when the Apple store decided to “rescue” them by letting them inside the empty store at around 7:30 AM. The eager beavers were let into the Apple Store theater with their wet belongings, given bottled water and were allowed to stay until the store opened at 10AM. No word if they were actually allowed to take a peek at the new iPhones, since they were already inside anyways.
