Haze update: 1pm PSI improves from 'hazardous' to 'very unhealthy' reading of 263
The three-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) dropped to 263 at 1pm from 319 an hour earlier, falling into the 'very unhealthy' range.
The 24 hour average PSI at 1pm also dipped to 173-199 range, from 173-216 earlier.
Some MPs have opened up community spaces for residents seeking some respite from the haze.
Just past midnight on Saturday, Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC MP Penny Low posted on Facebook offering the air-conditioned multi purpose hall at Punggol 21 Community Club for residents to stay overnight.
"The hall will be opened from 10.30pm to 8.30am daily," said Ms Low. "You can register at Punggol 21 CC."
Mountbatten MP Lim Biow Chuan said he has asked (Mountbatten and Katong Community Clubs to make available all air-conditioned spaces for residents to escape the haze.
"Do drop by the (Community Clubs) if you need assistance," he said.
