　今回はAsahi Weekly(June 2, 2013)から英語表現を拾います。下記の赤字winningは動詞 winの形容詞形としてみると「勝利の，勝利を決する」となりますが，同時に「魅力的な」「人を惹きつける」という意味もあります（『ルミナス英和辞典』第2版)。ここはそうした２つの意味が重ねられたことば遊びとなっています。

One year after shooting to stardom with her role in the 2012 Oscar-winning silent movie “The Artist,” actress Berenice Bejo reached another pinnacle May 26 by winning the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival for her part in Asghar Farhadi’s film “Le Passe” (The Past). Bejo, 36, said she turned down offers from Hollywood to star in the drama which centers on a deserted wife.
