見出しのbaby weightですが、単純に「赤ちゃんの体重」ではないようです。ネットで調べてみると、Macmillan Dictionaryに"the weight a woman gains when she is pregnant, and which she is urged/expected by some to lose as soon as possible after giving birth"と載っていました。baby weightとはどうやら妊娠により増加した体重のことだそうです。また、その妊娠した女性ですが、出産後に出来るだけ早く減量を催促される、または期待されるとあります。今回の内容にぴったりあてはまりますね。
