今回扱うのはpop upという表現です。popには「<物が>ポンと鳴る〔はじける〕」という意味がありますが、pop up で「ひょいと動く；ひょっこり現れる」という意味を表します。(『ジーニアス英和辞典　第4版』大修館書店)この表現を使って、とび出す絵本やとび出す誕生日カードをpop-up children’s book, pop-up birthday cardと表すことができます。一緒におさえておきたいと思います。（Jakie）
