AustraliaのWollongongで、車のトランクから死体が発見されたそうです。

Police spokesman Sergeant David Rose says they are seeking information from anyone who may have seen the white Kia Rio sedan earlier in the afternoon.　"It's believed to have been driving erratically in the northern suburbs of Wollongong just prior to 2:45 yesterday afternoon," he said.
A crime scene has been set up where the car was found.　Children are playing in the street and police have taped off the area.　Another crime scene has also been set up at a home in Bligh Street, Wollongong.
Residents say they are shocked.　"It's a quiet area, everyone keeps to themselves," one man, Matt, said.　"We've never really had anything like this in the past."

また、keep O to oneselfでは「O（考え・ニュースなど）を人に話さないでおく、秘密にする」という意味になるそうです。例文に面白い表現があったのですが、”Keep your opinions to yourself.”で、「とやかく意見を言うなよ」という意味になるようです。

Wollongongと言えば、専修大学の提携校であるWollongong大学があるところです。わたしは以前、Wollongong大学から専修大学に短期留学で来ていた子のConversation Partner になりました。その子から町の様子や風景の写真をたくさん見せてもらいましたが、とても穏やかな雰囲気の町でした。そんなイメージからは思いもよらぬ恐ろしい事件が起こり、とても驚いています。(Nat)
