無観客試合
昨日に引き続いてサッカーの記事から英語表現を拾います。
先月２１日に行われたEL決勝トーナメントのボルシアＭＧ戦で、ホームのラツィオのサポーター約３００人が人種差別的な意味が含まれるローマ式敬礼をしたとして、UEFAはラツィオに無観客試合の処分を言い渡しました。

behind closed doorsは「内密に、非公開で」という意味(『ジーニアス英和辞典』第4版、大修館書店)という意味のイディオムですが、文脈から推測するとここでは「無観客試合」と訳せるでしょうか。和英辞典や英和辞典には記載されていなかったのでWikitionaryを参照してみると、"(idiomatic) In private; in one's private life; lacking (normal) public disclosure."という定義の他に"(idiomatic, sports) Without public spectators."という定義がされていました。
「無観客試合」というとどうしても~without spectatorsというフレーズが思い浮かびますが、上記の表現も口をついて言えるようにしたい表現です。(EnDough)
