東京大学の学生が家庭用電気製品を「スマート化」する装置Plutoを開発しました。ここでは「〜をスマート化する」という意味でsmartifyという動詞が使われています。ネット上ではTo make a person smarter in a temporally economical manner primarily through lecture or other verbal instruction.（Urban Dictionary）と説明しているくらいで「〜をスマート化する」という意味の解説は見当たりませんが，頻繁に使われるようになれば今後定着する可能性があります。（Koyamamoto）
