赤字は遠藤選手の説明の部分です。以前に先輩が書かれていましたので復習となりますが、capには” to choose someone for a national sports team”(LDOCE)というイギリス英語の動詞での用法があります。由来が気になったので、とりあえず英和もひいてみると『ジーニアス英和辞典 第４版』(大修館書店)には、「（選手帽を与えて）」という記述があり、なるほどと思いました。「日本代表に一番多く選出されている（遠藤選手）」ということでしょう。(Minnesota)
