The Guardianに、英米の文学における50の重要な瞬間のリストについての記事がありました。これは、ライター自身が独自に選んだリストなのですが、読んでいると面白いですね。日本にもこんなのが放送されたらなあ、とこんな記事を読むたびに思います（記事はタイトルのリンクをクリック）。

So much for music. Following Radio 3, I've found myself speculating about the 50 key moments in the Anglo-American literary tradition. Arguably, Goodall's very good idea works almost as well for the history of the printed page.

This catalogue, in conclusion, is highly partisan and impressionistic. It makes no claim to be comprehensive (how could it?). Rather, it aims to stimulate a discussion about the turning-points in the world of books and letters from the King James Bible to the present day.

さて、気になる表現がいくつかあります。赤字で示したtie-inについてです。こちらは、すでにShohei君がtie in withというかたちで扱っています(「[ネクタイで一致する tie in with - 田邉祐司ゼミ 常時英心：言葉の森から」)。それをハイフォンで繋ぐと「つながり」「(･･･との)関連」という意味になり、ほかにも「抱き合わせ販売」という意味にもなります(『ウィズダム英和辞典』)。ここでは、its tie-in bookとありますので「関連書籍」という訳がぴったります。この記事の元ネタのthe "50 key works" of classical musicとその関連書籍は、BBCのHoward Goodallのテレビ番組から派生したラジオ番組ということになります。

最後のOver to youに関して扱います。こちらはover to Aのかたちで「次はAの番です」という意味ですが、『ウィズダム英和辞典』によると「テレビ番組の司会者のせりふ」という注が付け加えてありました。もちろん、記事の元ネタがテレビ番組とラジオ番組であることから、この表現が使われたのでしょう。(Othello)
