Dollar briefly tops 90 yen in New York

NEW YORK (Kyodo) -- The U.S. dollar briefly topped the 90 yen threshold Thursday in New York, its highest level in two years and seven months, on speculation that the Bank of Japan may take drastic easing measures to boost the sluggish Japanese economy at its upcoming policy meeting.
