今回取り上げる表現は、teething problemsです。直訳ですと、歯が生える事による問題、のような感じでしょうか。辞書を引いてみると、teething pains[troubles, problems]という形で、「［複数扱い］（事業などの）初期の困難、初期のトラブル」（『ウィズダム英和辞典 第二版』三省堂）とありました。歯が生え変わる時の初期は、物が噛みにくい（噛めない）などのトラブルがありそうですが、そういう事などの比喩なのでしょうか。また、過去にもteething problemsは、先輩が取り上げられていますので、ご参照ください。cf.http://d.hatena.ne.jp/A30/20110318/1300399881
