The puppy belongs to a restaurant owner in the Sicilian town of Favara. His owner and a group of like-minded voters came up with an anti-corruption campaign featuring Stefano. It started from a joke that even a dog could do a better job than a corrupt politician.
The group opened a campaign office in the city and distributed posters and flyers, urging voters to cast their ballots for Stefano to express their anger against corrupt politicians.
