tap into/ turn ~ on one's head

赤字のtap intoは「利用する」という意味です。とくに必要なものを利用するときに使い、この場合は問題を解決するためにthe wisdom of crowds、すなわち「集団の知恵」というものを使います。

しかし、先週、ネットで発表されたMarblarは、科学の研究の新しい試みをしようとしています。その試みは、そのように「集団の知恵」を使う流れをturn on one’s headするのです。このturn on one’s headは、「〜を逆の見方をする」や「完全に変える」という意味で、つまりそれまでの一連の流れをMarblarが変え、注目をMarblarに向けさせるということなのだと思います。(Othello)
