Do the Boston Red Sox have a mutiny on their hands?
Several Red Sox players expressed their displeasure with Bobby Valentine's managerial style in a meeting with ownership and said they do not want to play for him, according to a Yahoo Sports report.
The report said owners called a meeting with the players in late July in New York after Adrian Gonzalez, on behalf of the team, texted owners John Henry and Larry Lucchino their frustration.
Red Sox general manager Ben Cherington confirmed to USA TODAY Sports' Bob Nightengale that a meeting with players and ownership occurred.
