白鵬の逆転優勝で幕を閉じた大相撲春場所ですが，地元の豪栄道が頑張っていました。彼は観客の前でraise the roofしたとありますが，これは「（屋根が飛ぶほど）大騒ぎする，どっとわき立つ」という意味の表現です（『ジーニアス英和大辞典』大修館書店）。偶然ですが、paint the town redと同じカテゴリーです。会場の屋根が吹き飛ぶほどお客さんをテンションを上げるなんて、地元での場所は気合いが入るのですね。（Sugiuchi）
