anorak
今回もMail Online(08/08/11付け)から単語を取り上げます。
We have all seen a trainspotter wearing an anorak and huddled with a camera on a railway platform - well, now there's a new phenomenon: drainspotting, where obsessives travel hundreds of miles to snap unusual manholes.
The craze has swept Japan, where enthusiasts spend days hunting out the nation's 6,000-plus uniquely designed manholes.

また,Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionaryにはa short coat with a hood that is worn as protection against rain, wind and coldと定義されています。
しかし,parkaをOxford Advanced Learner's Dictionaryで引いてみると,a very warm jacket or coat with a hood that often has fur insideとあり,私たちが呼ぶパーカーとは違うものを指しているので,海外で服を買う際には気を付けなければなりませんね。
