dress rehearsalとは一体どういう意味なのでしょうか。実はこの表現には２つ意味がありまして，１つは「（衣装をつけて行う）本稽古，試演，予行演習」，そして「予備段階；前哨戦」です（『ジーニアス英和辞典』第4版，大修館書店）。
このコパ・アメリカで優勝すると，2013年にブラジルで行われるコンフェデレーションズカップ（６大陸の王者が集う大会）への出場権が得られます。そしてこの決勝戦は，2014年ブラジルW杯へのdress（ここではユニフォーム）を着た「前哨戦」だと位置づけられているのですね。（Sugiuchi）
