平成23年度 ロッド・エリス教授公開授業のお知らせ

ニュージーランドのオークランド国立大学教授，昭和女子大学客員教授 エリス・ロデリック氏による下記の授業を一般に公開いたします。エリス教授は第二言語習得研究の第一人者で，日本でも数多くの本が研究者に読まれています。中でも2008年のThe Study of Second Language Acquisition (2nd Edition, OUP)は，初版をさらに超えた｢英語教育研究におけるバイブル｣と言える著書です。

昭和女子大学 （東京都世田谷区太子堂1-7） ＊詳細は教材（ハンドアウト）と併せて送付致します。
4. 対象者：
英語教育に関心を持ち，英語による講義を理解する能力のある方。＊申込みは先着順とし，申し込み多数の場合はお断りすることもあります。

教材（ハンドアウト）費として別途2,500円がかかります。
全日程を通してご参加いただけない場合には，一日単位のお申し込みも受け付けます。教材費はお申し込みの日数にかかわらず一律でお支払いいただきます
6. 講義内容：
This seminar draws on material from the forthcoming book called Language Teaching Research and Language Pedagogy (Wiley/ Blackwell).
この書籍の出版予定4月19日現在アナウンスされておりません。
Allwright (1984) claimed that interaction is the ‘fundamental fact of classroom pedagogy’. It follows that to understand teaching it is essential to examine the types of interaction that occur in a language classroom and the opportunities that these afford for second language (L2) learning. Accordingly, the seminar will examine a number of general features of classroom discourse and then move on to consider the teacher’s and the learners’ contributions to interaction. The focus will be largely on descriptive rather than experimental research. Implications for teaching will be considered.

In addition to lectures on these topics, seminar participants will have the opportunity to engage in the analysis of interactional sequences drawn from a variety of different L2 classrooms.
