自動車産業で有名なアメリカDetroitで開催中のNorth American International Auto Show2011。The New York TimesにあったIt’s Time for a Checkup: Vital Signs Seem Strongerという記事から英語表現を拾います。
The 2011 version of the American automakers’ hometown gala is expected to feature the world debuts of at least 30 cars and trucks. That would be a modest improvement over 2010 — when the industry was still reeling from the effects of the recession and the Detroit show was still in a fragile state of health — and markedly better than the somber Detroit show in January 2009.

また，その綴りから他の言語に由来していることが予想できる単語ですが，
