insomnia 復習

今日は、日本で部分日食が観測出来ました。そんな日食には、驚きの言い伝えが存在しています。

Some people also believe that stepping outside during an eclipse can cause heart problems, insomnia, mental disorders, and mess with the monthly menstrual cycle. But none of these has a scientific explanation or answer. It is still not known what could possibly be the reason for such practices to be so popular and existed for so many years. It is up to your discretion to decide if you want to believe them or not, but if you are trying to use science as a yardstick to understand the reasons behind the practice, science has little to offer.

私は、今日の日食は残念ながら見ることが出来ませんでした。観察グラスを持っていなかったためです。しかし、その後調べてみると、今年にはもう一回のチャンスがあることがわかりました。2035年には皆既日食も見られるので、ほれらを楽しみにしたいと思います。(seventh-dan)
