今回気になったのは、ethos /íːθɑs/ です。以下で意味等を確認していきます。
まず、LDOCEで引いてみると、“the set of ideas and moral attitudes that are typical of a particular group” とあり、例文として、“a community in which people lived according to an ethos of sharing and caring” とありました。『ウィズダム英和辞典』には、「（特定の民族・時代の思想・慣習などを特色づける）精神、（文化的）特色; （集団・個人の）気質、（芸術作品の）エトス、道徳的特質」と載っていました。
