skimpy 復習

今回はskimpy /skímpi/ を紹介します。普通は「不十分な, けちけちした」という意味ですがここでは違う意味として使われています。

『ジーニアス英和辞典』第４版（大修館）には「＜服などが＞肌を露出した, ＜スカートが＞短い」とありました。LDOCEは “a skimpy dress or skirt etc is very short and does not cover very much of woman’s body” と定義しています。

この記事では、観光客のマナーについてでした。写真を撮るという思い出残しもいいですが、一番大切なのは記憶に留めておくことだと思います。
