気になったのはboozy /ˈbuːzi/ です。文脈から「酔った」と推測しました。
『ジーニアス英和辞典』(第五版、大修館書店)では「酔っ払った、大酒飲みの、(会食などが)酒の多い」とあります。また、LDOCEでは “showing that someone has drunk too much alcohol” と定義されています。例文にはI took him out for a boozy lunch, and in the end he admitted he'd made the whole thing up.やOn the first and third of every month, the place is packed with old men getting their boozy fixes.が載っていました。
